The Cageless Birds are an awesome creative community that love Jesus and provide great resources for believers. Click Here for 4 free video prompts that teach about using art for journaling and connecting with the Father. The first lesson is a tutorial for watercoloring and drawing. The last 3 lessons are creative prompts that engage the heart!
The Cageless Birds also have some great creative devotionals called “Cultivate” and some online workshops for purchase.

An easy idea for getting keeping creativity in your rhythms with God is to try visual journaling.If you get a notebook that can both be written in and painted on, you can add paintings and other mediums to diversify the way you record your history and conversations with God. Here is a great leather-bound journal created with that purpose in mind. Regular spiral watercolor notebooks can work too though!
These watercolor sets are my favorite to use. Unless you want to invest in more professional materials, these ones are a good price and are better quality than what you’ll get in most stores. They are also small and portable, so combined with this paintbrush that holds water, you can easily throw it all in your purse and have it handy for any inspired moments!
Music recommendations:
If you're interested in some amazing Christian instrumental music to inspire your creativity, check out the composers Judah Earl and Jordan Critz on Apple music or Spotify. I particularly like Judah’s song "Beginnings".
Some other great instrumental songs: "Tenderness" by Tony Anderson, "Roots" and “Pentecost (reworked)" by Christopher Galovan, "Together" and "Have Courage" by Justin Byrne, "Swells" by Adam Daudrich, , and the "Generosity" album by Cageless Birds.
William Augusto has hour-long soaking songs, David Brymer has simple piano instrumentals, Alan Gogoll and Sebastian Jautschus have some solid acoustic guitar jams.
